This book tells the story of a year-long exchange between an American family
and a Norwegian family. The Shiell family (children ages 10, 11, and 13) packed their
suitcases and headed to Norway. This American family exchanged cars, homes, jobs
and friends with the Isaksens, a Norwegian family.
The book, Fair Exchange, written in an easy-to-read style, includes a description
of the exchange (an exchange involving two pastors), as well as comments about the
experience of an American family living in Norway.
The authors of this book founded a nonprofit organization, St. Hans Ministry Exchange, Inc.,
which promotes home and ministry exchanges through Christian Home Exchange.
