Christianity is the major religion in Hungary, with a majority of its population belonging to the Roman Catholic Church.

The people of Hungary are called, “Hungarians” or “Magyars.” The primary language spoken, Hungarian, is spoken by 98% of the population.

Citizens of the United States who enter Hungary as tourists or for business may do so for up to 90 days without a visa, but must have a U.S. passport that is valid for at least three months beyond the length of their anticipated stay in Hungary.
